Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ScanDat AI ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

ScanDat AI uses artificial intelligence to extract event information from images and text, and helps you add those events to your calendar. The app is provided "as is" and event extraction accuracy is not guaranteed. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying event details before adding them to your calendar.

Accounts and Authentication

You must sign in with an Apple ID or Google account to use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

Subscriptions and Payments

Free tier: All users get up to 10 scans per day at no cost.

ScanDat Pro: A paid subscription that increases your scan limits. Available as a monthly ($3.99/month) or annual ($19.99/year) auto-renewable subscription.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or subscription restrictions
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers

Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and branding are owned by ScanDat AI. You retain ownership of all images and text you submit. We claim no rights over your content.

Accuracy Disclaimer

ScanDat AI uses artificial intelligence to extract event details. AI can make mistakes. Event times, dates, locations, and other details may be inaccurate. Always review extracted events before adding them to your calendar. We are not liable for missed, incorrect, or duplicate calendar events.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanDat AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to missed events, scheduling conflicts, or data loss arising from use of the app.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app at any time.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
